1. Purpose and Scope

This policy sets out Qualitect Ltd's commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion across all aspects of our digital design platform and our operations. It applies to all aspects of Qualitect's operations including platform design and development, AI-generated qualification content, user support services, professional partnerships, internal recruitment and employment, procurement and marketing. This policy applies to all users of the Qualitect platform.

Qualitect operates within the framework of UK equality legislation including the Equality Act 2010, Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018, WCAG 2.1 and ISO 21001. We recognise and protect against discrimination based on all protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010. Qualitect is working towards formal accreditation against ISO standards relevant to its operations. References to ISO alignment describe the framework adopted and do not indicate current certification.

3. Policy Statement and Core Commitments

Qualitect is committed to creating a platform and workplace where equality, diversity and inclusion are embedded in everything we do. We maintain zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment or victimisation. Where appropriate and lawful, we will take positive action to address disadvantage.

4. Platform Design and Accessibility

Our platform is designed with accessibility and inclusion at its core. Key commitments include WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance, support for assistive technologies, flexible presentation options and responsive design. We regularly audit our platform's accessibility and prioritise improvements.

5. AI Content Generation and Bias Prevention

5.1 Bias Prevention Framework

We apply bias prevention measures throughout our use of AI including careful selection of source materials, structured output review and regular testing across different subject areas and contexts.

5.2 Output Monitoring and Review

All AI- undergoes systematic review for bias.

5.3 Bias Reporting

Users can report suspected bias through our platform reporting system.

6. Supporting Fair Qualification Design

The Qualitect platform is designed to support the creation of qualifications that are fair, valid and accessible to all learners. Our generation and compliance tools include prompts and checks that encourage inclusive qualification design. Our Policy sets out how Qualitect addresses platform-level accessibility needs.

7. User Support and Communication

All platform communications are designed to be clear, respectful and accessible. We use plain English and provide information in multiple formats where appropriate. User support is accessible through email support and alternative format documents on request.

8. Roles and Responsibilities

Qualitect leadership sets strategic EDI direction. Platform development implements accessibility features. Customer support provides inclusive service. All employees treat colleagues and users with dignity. organisations are expected to comply with their own legal obligations under equality legislation and report suspected bias to Qualitect.

9. Monitoring and Reporting

We collect and analyse data to monitor EDI progress including platform accessibility metrics, user feedback and complaint data.
