It ensures compliance with the Equality Act 2010 whilst maintaining the integrity of qualifications developed through our platform.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch3 id=\"1-2-scope\">1.2 Scope\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\u003Cp>This policy applies to all users of the Qualitect platform. It covers reasonable adjustments for platform access and use. Where Platform Users have their own obligations to support learners in their delivery context, this policy supports but does not replace those obligations.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch2 id=\"2-definitions\">2. Definitions\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Reasonable Adjustment\u003C\u002Fstrong> means a change to the way things are done to help a person with a disability access services without being substantially disadvantaged.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Disability\u003C\u002Fstrong> means, as defined in section 6 of the Equality Act 2010, a physical or mental impairment that has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on a person's ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Assistive Technology\u003C\u002Fstrong> means software, hardware or equipment that helps people with disabilities use computers and access digital content.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch2 id=\"3-legal-framework\">3. Legal Framework\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\u003Cp>Under the Equality Act 2010, Qualitect Ltd has an anticipatory duty to make reasonable adjustments. Our approach is also informed by ISO 21001, which requires educational organisations to identify and address the needs of those with disabilities. Qualitect is working towards formal accreditation against ISO standards relevant to its operations. References to ISO alignment describe the framework adopted and do not indicate current certification.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch2 id=\"4-types-of-reasonable-adjustments\">4. Requesting Reasonable Adjustments\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\u003Cp>Platform Users may request reasonable adjustments for their own use of the platform at any time by emailing hello@qualitect.co.uk with \"Reasonable Adjustment Request\" in the subject line. Where \u003Cbutton type=\"button\" class=\"q-glossary-trigger\" data-glossary-slug=\"platform-user\" data-glossary-term=\"Platform User\" aria-label=\"Definition: Platform User\">Platform User\u003C\u002Fbutton> organisations use Qualitect-developed content to deliver qualifications to their own learners, responsibility for providing reasonable adjustments to those learners rests with the Platform User organisation. Where Qualitect provides learning services directly to individuals, Qualitect is responsible for reasonable adjustments in access to those services.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch2 id=\"6-assessment-and-decision-making\">6. Assessment and Decision-Making\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\u003Cp>Our accessibility team reviews requests within five working days. Standard processing time is 15 working days from receipt of complete information.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch2 id=\"7-roles-and-responsibilities\">7. Roles and Responsibilities\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\u003Ch3 id=\"7-1\">7.1\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\u003Cp>Qualitect maintains platform accessibility features, processes requests for platform-level adjustments and maintains confidential records of all adjustment requests and decisions.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch3 id=\"7-2\">7.2\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\u003Cp>Platform User organisations are responsible for their own reasonable adjustments processes for learners in their care in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 and any relevant regulatory framework.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch2 id=\"8-appeals-process\">8.
